Since the beginning of time, humans have always wanted to live longer and enjoy the time they have on Earth at the same time. Of course, there are also those that develop bad habits that severely shorten their lives as well. When researchers look at certain populations around the world where people tend to live the longest, it’s always a combination of factors all added together that lead to the longest average lifetimes. Let’s take a quick look at why the Japanese people live longer in order to understand the whole picture.

Some Japanese Islands Have The Oldest Living People On Earth

In any given population, Japan vacation package, there are going to be some people, for whatever reason, that develop bad habits like smoking tobacco, taking drugs, eating all the wrong foods, getting no exercise, and stressing out on the job or at home. On the other hand, if your regular lifestyle doesn’t involve any bad habits plus you go the extra mile by eating really healthy, exercising every single day, work in a completely stress-free environment and use yoga to relax you’ll live much longer. In addition to that, there are some foods, such as fish and many vegetables that have a very positive effect on your health beyond just being neutral.

As it turns out, many people in Japan, and especially those on the island of Nagano, have a lifestyle that has eliminated nearly all of the bad habits that are known to shorten lives and added all of the good habits instead. They eat a very healthy diet with lots of fruits, vegetables, fish and other natural foods. They eat almost no fast foods, deep fried foods, packaged foods, or processed foods at all. They have the highest rate of consumption of vegetables per person in the world.

Exercise Is Good, Sitting Is Bad

When it comes to getting up and moving around many people have bad habits all day long at work and again at home. With all of the technological advances, many jobs now are done from a computer while a machine does most of the work. Then, when people get home, they sit in front of the TV until it’s time to go to bed where they lie down through the night. This sedentary lifestyle is bad for the entire body, muscles, bones, heart, and brain and we pay for it with a shortened life.

The Japanese live longer, on average, because they watch far less TV, and in the case of Nagano residents, they spend their free time working on farms in the evenings and on the weekends. This extra activity reduces their stress load, increases muscle mass, is good for digestion, and great for the heart. The recipe for longevity is fairly simple, cut out all of the bad habits and replace them with good habits and you’ll have a good, healthy long life.
